Part of the QueerMinded Radio Network this lively, exciting and always relevant show will bring national topics in entertainment, news, culture, social justice and more with a local flair and an LGBTQ twist.

Co-hosts Tawny & Marquis,  along with regular community guest co-hosts all live in the Columbus metro area, giving you a team that represents your voices as QPOC in the Central Ohio Area. Our goal is to raise the voices of the unheard in Columbus Ohio, and always stay shitting on the agenda of the privileged.

We also discuss Derrick L. Middleton’s documentary trailer, "Shape Up: Gay in the Black Barbershop" which deals with the hypermasculine and sometimes homophobic/misogynistic atmosphere of the black barbershop. And finally we end the evening with a discussion on the entertainment industry and how it profits off the rape, murder, and torture of women. THE T IN LGBT W/ HORIZON SIDE FILMS & THE MICS OF THE BROWNTABLE 05-12-16

20160512_224005  On this edition of The Mics of The BrownTable  we let our panel share their unique perspectives on issues facing the Trans* community and beyond. But first we talk to the cast and creators of Horizon Side Films' new short All The Way Down, an official selection for the 9th edition of the Direct Short Online Film Festival.  Joining us in studio we have Wriply Bennet, Brandon Conley, Rashida Davison, and Timothy Singratsomboune.   Not only is Wriply Bennet a talented actor, but she is an amazing artists as well.  You can check out some of her illustrations featured in the new documentary film, MAJOR!, a documentary exploring the life and campaigns of Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, a formerly incarcerated Black transgender elder and activist.  Also, Rashida Davison received an acceptance letter to intern with a film production company in Bogotá Colombia, and is currently accepting donations through Paypal to help fund the trip.  Recorded live in studio May 12, 2016.
