Brooklyn Pride wouldn’t be a festival without its music, and we talked to two of the stars rocking Saturday’s show, Melli B and Cicely O’Kain.

Melli B joined us for the second half of the show in our Bushwick studio to tell us all about how he makes music and what makes him unique as a gay rap artist, plus we hear his track IG and his version of Rihanna’s Work.

Cicely O’Kain talked to us from Colorado but has a local connection to NYC. With family all over the city, she is ready to bring her sounds to the stage. O’Kain shared her hot R&B style track “Livin Life” and her club dance track “Like Bass.”

Check out their interviews below and see them at Brooklyn Pride this Saturday. Find details on their performance times on the Brooklyn Pride website, and find both Melli B and Cicely O’Kain on iTunes and other digital music spots.

And make sure to listen to Queer State of Mind Saturday at Noon ET for more interviews from Brooklyn Pride live from the festival.
