An upcoming Brooklyn event created through partnership between Bushwick Film Festival and BRIC Arts Media House, LGBT Spotlight, plans to feature voices and works of LGBTQ filmmakers and artists in a screening and panel discussion coming this Wednesday, May 25th.
“I always stress diversity in our programming and in our content that we show on and off camera,” said Bushwick Film Festival founder Kweighbaye Kotee about the free event being held at the BRIC House at 7pm. “One question we are always asking ourselves is ‘are we properly representing as many communities as we can.'”
LGBT Spotlight includes a panel moderated by writer and activist Tiq Milan and including creatives Trae Harris, Jess X Chen, Mx. Je’Jae Cleopatra Daniels, Jeremy Harsh, Daniel Armando & Billy Gerard Frank.
Listen to the full interview with Kotee and catch the panel on Wednesday, May 25th 7pm at BRIC House Stoop on Fulton St. in Downtown Brooklyn.
